Benefits and Challenges of Europeanisation in Adult Education and VET

Within the framework of the project Europeanisation around 520 representatives of educational institutions from 30 countries, including the 28 EU Member States, participated in our online survey on the internationalisation and Europeanisation of their organisations. The survey focused on questions which addressed the perceived benefits and challenges of internationalisation and Europeanisation strategies.

  • Benefits of internationalisation/Europeanisation: It’s not just about the money!
  • Challenges of internationalisation/Europeanisation: Usually related to unskilled staff or inappropriate project management practices!
  • Let’s go Europe! But where should I begin?

The survey has contributed to the development of a free of charge online tool that shall enable institutions to analyse themselves in terms of capacity in the implementation of

European and transnational projects. Using the resulting individual recommendations, the educational institutions will be supported in their ‘Europeanisation’ process.

The Organisational Maturity Assessment Tool for the Europeanisation of Educational Institutions will be launched in September 2016 as a main result of the two-year Erasmus+ strategic partnership Europeanisation, carried out by emcra GmbH (DE), Cyprus Project Management Society – CPMS (CY), German Association – Landsmannschaft of the Danube Swabians in Croatia (HR), EU-Fundraising Association e.V. (DE), European Center for Quality Ltd. – ECQ (BG), Chamber of Commerce of Csongrád County Szeged (HU) and Institute for Postgraduate Studies – IPS (BG), and offered in English and the 5 project languages!
